CNC Miller/Turner Position

We are looking for a CNC Miller/Turner to join our team. We are a well-established manufacturing company based in Leyland, Lancashire.

Your Main Duties

  • Programming, Setting and Operating CNC Milling machine/manual machines
  • Machine items/products to Drawings
  • Working with Hurco milling machines 3 axis - 5 axis
  • Working with XYZ lathes – Siemens controls
  • Meet production deadlines ensuring that the appropriate checks have been carried out.
  • Manage time and machines efficiently
  • Work to machining tolerances ensuring that the completed component is checked against the required specification

Essential Skills and Competences

  • Time served or completed relevant apprenticeship as a CNC/Manual machinist
  • Undertaken formal training in CNC setting and operation
  • Knowledge and experience of working on CNC machining centres, HURCO experience preferable
  • Knowledge of One CNC and Hypermill would be an advantage but training can be given
  • Knowledge of CNC lathe machining, XYZ - Siemens controls preferable.
  • Has a good understanding of best tools for the job and speeds and feeds for different tools.
  • Work under their own initiative, forward thinking and proactive
  • Work well individually and with our team
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated.

Job Details

  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Positions Available: 1 (may consider 2)
  • Schedule: 7am-5.30pm Monday – Wednesday, 7am – 4.30pm Thursday
  • Pay: From £15.00 per hour
  • Expected Hours: 39 per week
  • Benefits:
