Automatic Door Engineer – Sheffield and South Yorkshire

With rising customer demand and a commitment to delivering industry-leading service, we’re now looking to grow our engineering team that covers the Sheffield & South Yorkshire areas. This is an opportunity to join a leading global entrance solutions provider known for high-performance automatic door systems and innovative access solutions used across retail, healthcare, transport, and commercial environments.
Role Overview
You’ll support customers across South Yorkshire, carrying out service, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of automatic door systems.

Your work will include
- Servicing, repairing, and fault-finding on sliding, swing, and revolving doors
- Electrical checks, sensor testing, and control system diagnostics
- Completing BS EN 16005 safety checks and compliance documentation
- Attending breakdowns and delivering first-time fixes where possible
- Supporting installations and commissioning when required
- Providing clear updates and a professional on-site service
Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for an engineer who brings technical capability, reliability, and a customer-focused approach. You’ll need:
- Experience with automatic doors
- Strong fault-finding skills and basic electrical knowledge
- A full UK driving licence + relevant operating licences
- Confidence working independently across customer sites
- A positive attitude and commitment to high-quality engineering

Salary & Rewards
- 38k plus £2400 on-call Allowance
- On-call premium: £200 per week (£2,400 per year)
- Premium overtime (time and a half & double time)
- Monthly bonuses (£200–£500)
- 33 days holiday (25 + bank holidays)
