Engineer Surveyor (Electrical & Local Exhaust Ventilation) – Remote Hybrid Role
About the Role
Allianz is seeking a motivated and skilled Engineer Surveyor specialising in Electrical and Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) systems to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading global insurer while playing a critical role in ensuring safety, compliance, and reliability across industrial and commercial environments.
Operating with autonomy, you will manage your own schedule while delivering high-quality customer service to Allianz’s diverse client base—ranging from offices and factories to quarries.

Key Responsibilities
As an Engineer Surveyor, your duties include:

Inspection and Testing
- Carry out Electrical Installations Condition Reports (EICR) and Periodic Inspection & Testing for industrial and commercial installations, including:
- Factories
- Offices
- Quarries
- Associated electrical apparatus
- Examine LEV systems, including fans, ducting, hoods, filtration systems, and air-moving equipment.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation (e.g., IEE Wiring Regulations BS7671:2018) and industry standards.
- Carry out Electrical Installations Condition Reports (EICR) and Periodic Inspection & Testing for industrial and commercial installations, including:

Reporting & Compliance
- Produce clear, structured, and detailed reports with precise certification.
- Flag defects and provide safety-driven recommendations to mitigate risks.
- Ensure all inspections align with Allianz’s high-quality, safety-focused standards.

Customer Relations
- Build strong professional relationships with clients.
- Offer technical guidance and support to help maintain compliance and best practices.
Salary Information
- Base Pay: Circa £45,539 per year (subject to qualifications, location, and experience).
- Additional Benefits: Includes a company car and flexible total reward package.
- An incremental salary increase for the first two years.
- Annual performance-related bonus.

About You
Essential Qualifications & Skills
To excel in this role, you’ll need:
- A minimum NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering, plus BS7671:2018 (18th Edition) or C&G 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification (or equivalent).
- Practical experience in:
- Low-voltage system installation, inspection, maintenance, and fault-finding.
- Installations across various environments (factories, commercial properties, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of COSHH regulations and awareness of LEV systems.
- A full UK Driver’s License, essential for regular site visits.
- Capacity for self-management and prioritisation, with a focus on planning visits and workload.
- Excellent customer service skills, including clear communication in written and spoken formats.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development in electrical safety and regulatory compliance.
*Desirable Traits
- Experience with AI or emerging technologies in health and safety processes.
- Proficiency in advanced reporting tools or software used in inspections.
