Engineering Administrator

Salary: £28,500 plus Service Charge

Holidays: 28 days holiday, enhanced to 30 days after 5 years of service.

About the Role

As the Engineering Administrator, you will support the Chief Engineer and Deputy Chief Engineer in monitoring supplier performance, sourcing materials, and coordinating the Engineering team effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on administrative support to the Engineering department, including the Chief & Deputy Chief Engineer
  • Handle supplier communications, vendor quotes, purchase orders, and invoice reconciliation
  • Account for delivery discrepancies and maintain accurate job records (KnowCross)
  • Monitor and restock office & equipment supplies
  • Establish and maintain an efficient filing system for departmental records, including:
    • Supplier insurance policies
    • Liability documents
    • Utility readings
  • Coordinate meetings, inspections, and departmental schedules
  • Ensure compliance with:
    • Company policies
    • Safety procedures
    • Regulatory standards
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and professional workspace

Requirements

Essential Skills & Mindset

  • Strong organisation and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask, adapt to changing priorities, and manage pressure
  • Calm, supportive, and proactive approach in a guest-facing environment
  • Team player with a positive, approachable attitude
  • Experience in an administrative role within a 5-star hotel (desired)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Plumbing, carpentry, or electrical experience
