Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Engineering and Delivery Driver role based in the Greater Reading Area. The role involves operating and maintaining delivery vehicles, transporting materials and products safely between the company site and customer locations, and ensuring timely, accurate deliveries.

In addition, the role may include assisting with engineering-related tasks such as supporting equipment setup, routine maintenance, and coordination with production teams to ensure orders are prepared correctly. The position requires strict adherence to health and safety procedures, clear communication with colleagues and customers, and a dependable, customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

  • Ability to safely operate commercial vehicles and hold a valid, clean driving license appropriate for delivery duties in the United Kingdom.
  • Basic mechanical or engineering aptitude, with the ability to support equipment handling, minor maintenance tasks, and understand technical instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for managing delivery schedules, paperwork, and accurate loading/unloading of materials.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with warehouse, engineering, and customer teams, and provide professional service during deliveries.
  • Understanding of workplace health and safety practices, particularly in industrial, mining, or metals environments.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, moving, and securing loads, while following safe manual handling procedures.
  • Previous experience in delivery driving, logistics, warehouse operations, or an industrial setting is beneficial.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
