Engineering and Technical Standards Manager

Engineering & Technical Standards Manager

About the Role

As the Engineering Standards Manager, you will be responsible for creating Operational Engineering Standards, Processes, and ways of working by collaborating with various stakeholders across Verne. These standards must meet our Customer and Business expectations while enabling us to scale consistently.

This is a hands-on role focused on supporting site teams, ensuring a framework is in place for technical and engineering standards, processes, and ways of working that foster a compliant, consistent, and customer-focused operational team across Verne.

Responsibilities

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Engage with all stakeholders across Operations and other departments at Verne.
  • Ensure all inputs are captured for the development, roll-out, review, and improvement of standards and processes.
  • Gather customer input when required.

Technical & Engineering Standards & Process Development

  • Develop and document standards, processes, and ways of working that align with Verne’s and customers’ expectations, particularly for Hyperscalers.
  • Create an Operational Handbook—a centralised repository for Operational Standards and Processes, ensuring easy accessibility and navigation for all Verne employees.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
