Full time permanent role within the company as in house Engineer.
Requirements
- Foundation apprenticeships are introductory courses that help young people get started in an industry.
- You do not need to have any specific qualifications or experience to apply for a foundation apprenticeship.
- The apprentice must have a grade C/4 in English and Maths GCSE to ensure they meet the entry requirements for the college course.
Anyone between 16 and 21 can start a foundation apprenticeship. If you're between 22 and 24, you can start if you:
- have an EHC plan
- are in care or have been in care
- are in prison or have been in prison
Responsibilities
- Operating manual lathe, milling machines and surface grinder to manufacture tooling and custom parts for in-house machinery
- Performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to keep machinery running throughout the factory
- Creating detailed engineering drawings and hardware protection drawings to support manufacturing and ensure product quality
- Programming of several CNC routing machines
- Carry out routine health and safety inspections across the factory
- Work on continued product development
- Work on improving existing manufacturing processes
- Perform weekly batch testing on raw materials to maintain quality standards
- An in-house forklift license will be gained to allow for material handling and moving machinery
- Conducting regular calibration of measuring devices used on the shop floor to guarantee accuracy and compliance
- Work as part of a team
- Be prepared to work in a varied role depending on priority tasks at the time
- Attention to detail
- Work within the guidelines of health and safety policy
- Carry out any other reasonable functions as per required by management
