About the Role
We are recruiting enthusiastic individuals to join our Kings Dyke Site in the position of Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineering Apprentice. This is an exciting opportunity to work towards becoming a fully skilled engineer at one of the UK’s leading building material manufacturers, with yearly salary increases.

Apprenticeship Summary
- Working week: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Annual Salary: £20,800
- Expected duration: 48 months
- Start date: 1st September 2026
- Apprenticeship level: Advanced Level Apprenticeship
- Locations: Desford, Hams Hall, Hoveringham, Kings Dyke, Measham, Milton, & Newbury
Vacancy Description
The role includes, but is not limited to:
- Ensuring the efficient and safe working of the plant using skills gained during training
- Performing daily preventative maintenance and installing new equipment as required
- Responding to and addressing the fault report system

Requirements and Prospects

Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 GCSEs (or equivalent), including:
- English
- Maths
- Grades: A*–C (9–4)
Prospects
- Progress to becoming a fully trained Maintenance Engineer
- Potential for support to complete an HNC/D qualification
- Location at one of Forterra’s leading sites
