Engineering Apprentice–£375- £562 Per Week- Flintshire
The Role
Are you practical, curious and ready to learn how complex machinery keeps a world-class manufacturing business running? We're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Engineering Apprentice to join MM Packaging Deeside, one of Europe's leading carton manufacturers. This is your chance to develop valuable engineering skills, work alongside experienced professionals and gain recognised qualifications, all while earning a competitive salary.
You’ll complete a Level 3 Engineering Technician Apprenticeship, with the opportunity to progress to a Level 4 HNC in Engineering. Over three years, you'll receive practical training in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where no two days are the same.
You'll learn how to maintain, repair and improve the advanced machinery used to produce high-quality, sustainable carton packaging while developing skills that will support a rewarding engineering career.

Key Responsibilities
- Gain hands-on experience maintaining and repairing manufacturing equipment
- Learn mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and automated engineering systems
- Work alongside experienced engineers who will mentor and support your development
- Build fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Develop an understanding of engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Gain experience with automated production equipment, control systems and robotics
- Learn safe working practices and health, safety and environmental standards
- Take part in continuous improvement projects to improve equipment performance
- Develop communication, teamwork and organisational skills while earning recognised qualifications

The Person
We're looking for someone who is eager to learn, enjoys solving problems and wants to build a career in engineering.
You'll also have:
- A minimum Grade 4 in both English and Maths
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- An interest in engineering and manufacturing
- A reliable and proactive approach to work
