Join Royal Mail as a Building Fabrication Apprentice!

Location: Croydon Mail Centre, Beddington Farm Road, CR9 4AA (involving travel across various sites)

Salary: £17,377 - £24,767 (depending on age)

Hours/Shifts: 37.5 hours per week - shifts will be aligned to a mentors when starting

Duration: 3 - 4 years

Qualification: Property Maintenance Operative - Level 2

What You'll Do

As a Building Fabrication Apprentice, you will help keep Royal Mail buildings safe, clean, and in good shape.

You will learn how to:

  • Fix doors, walls, and floors
  • Do simple plumbing jobs
  • Paint and decorate spaces
  • Repair basic building problems
  • Help keep buildings safe and working well

You won't be alone! You will work with skilled engineers who will teach you everything step by step.

Learn While You Work

This is an apprenticeship, so you will:

  • Learn on the job every day
  • Study and complete your training
  • Build a portfolio of your work

As you grow in confidence, you will be trusted to do more tasks on your own.

  • A role helping customers by keeping their buildings safe

What We're Looking For

You'll need:

  • GCSE Maths and English Language at Level 4 (or the ability to achieve this during the apprenticeship)
  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs in total (Grade 4/C or above), ideally including a Science (defined as Physics, Biology, Chemistry or combined Science) or Technical subject (or equivalent)
