Are you an ex-Royal Signals engineer with an electrical engineering background looking to come off the tools whilst remaining closely connected to the Armed Forces? This is an excellent opportunity to use your engineering knowledge and experience to help develop the next generation of Royal Signals engineers, working in a rewarding role where you can genuinely make a difference.
Candidates should ideally live in or close to Bulford, Andover, Aldershot, Fareham or the surrounding areas.
I am currently recruiting on behalf of my client for an Engineering Apprenticeship Assessor supporting Royal Signals apprentices. You will deliver and assess the Level 3 Engineering Technician apprenticeship programme, guiding learners from induction through to End Point Assessment and helping them develop the skills and confidence needed to build successful engineering careers.
This role offers an excellent work life balance with Monday to Friday working, generous annual leave and an extended Christmas stand down, giving you approximately two weeks off over the festive period without using your annual leave entitlement. If you enjoy coaching others and want to remain part of the military community whilst passing on your knowledge and experience, this could be the ideal next step in your career.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
