Engineering Technician / Maintenance Assistant

Summary

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a practical mindset, who enjoys working with their hands, solving problems, and learning new skills.

You do not need extensive engineering experience. We are far more interested in finding someone who:

  • Is reliable
  • Takes pride in their work
  • Turns up on time
  • Is eager to learn

Working alongside highly experienced engineers, you will assist with:

  • Routine maintenance
  • Equipment setup
  • Factory improvements
  • General engineering support tasks

Our headquarters and manufacturing facility are located in Bicester, with a second storage warehouse nearby. Since fitting out our state-of-the-art clean rooms and manufacturing facility in 2019, we have continued to invest in our infrastructure to better serve our customers and enhance operational efficiency.


What Will You Do?

  • Assist engineers with planned maintenance activities
  • Support machine setup, changeovers and adjustments
  • Carry out basic repairs under supervision
  • Help identify and report equipment issues
  • Maintain engineering tools, stores and spare parts inventory
  • Keep engineering work areas clean, organised and safe
  • Support installation of new equipment and factory improvement projects
  • Complete maintenance records and documentation accurately
  • Respond to engineering requests from production teams
  • Assist with routine inspections and preventative maintenance schedules
  • Follow all Health & Safety and GMP requirements

What We’re Looking For?

  • 0-2 years’ experience in a manufacturing, maintenance, warehouse, production, or engineering-related environment
  • A strong work ethic and dependable attendance record
  • Engineering qualification or apprenticeship exposure (advantage but not essential)
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Basic mechanical aptitude
  • Experience using hand tools and basic workshop equipment
  • Understanding of Health & Safety practices
