Job Overview
Arm’s technology is used by billions of people every day. The Architecture and Technology Group explores, develops and shape´s the direction of Arm’s products in the next 3-5 years. As part of this group, you will play a key role in understanding industry trends and developing the next generation of computing devices for the markets that we participate in, including: mobile, server, networking, IoT/embedded, and automotive. This touches all aspects of computing including security, energy efficient performance, and decentralization of systems.
About ATG
Architecture defines the contract between hardware and software. Success in this role requires a strong interest in both domains and a good awareness of the interaction between the two. You will be motivated to continuously deepen and broaden your technical expertise, working at the intersection of hardware and software to shape future systems.
What you could be doing as a Senior Architecture Engineer:
As a senior member of a small and versatile team, you will act as a technical leader working closely with experts across technology groups at Arm, and with our partners. You will play a key role in defining, advancing, and validating the next generation of computing systems.
Activities Include
Leading the development, validation, and evolution of architectural models. Expanding the modelling capabilities to support selection of different architectural choices. Owning and evolving tool flows that consume architectural data, ensuring correctness, scalability, and usability.
You will work on long-lived projects with significant impact across the company and the wider community that relies on our products. In this role, you will influence technical direction across teams, provide architectural guidance, and support the growth of other engineers through mentoring and review.

We Are Looking For
Professionals with strong experience in computer architecture or systems engineering and a relevant degree or equivalent experience Deep understanding of computer architecture concepts Strong scripting skills in Python, and solid systems programming experience in C, C++, or Rust used in professional environments. Ability to evaluate, introduce, and continuously improve tools and workflows as requirements evolve. Proven experience with software development practices including configuration management, testing strategies, continuous integration, and delivery. Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex architectural concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences and influence technical decisions. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments, design scalable solutions, and independently drive initiatives from concept to delivery.
Qualities That Will Help Your Application Stand Out
Strong hands-on experience with Arm Architecture and Arm assembly. Experience developing and maintaining architectural or system-level software models. Ability to operate effectively across complex, multi-stakeholder project requirements. Technical leadership demonstrated through cross-team influence, internal tooling, open-source contributions, or published work.

Salary Range
£73,500 - £99,500 per year
