We are open to hiring across all three seniority levels from a single application, and will match you to the right position based on your skills, experience and potential.
What You'll Be Doing
Depending on your level of experience, your day-to-day work will involve some or all of the following:
Designing, executing and supporting noise, vibration and acoustic surveys and engineering assessments Performing mathematical analysis and technical interpretation of measurement and experimental data Developing, supporting or reviewing numerical models of dynamic systems, including structural vibration and fluid-structure interactions Planning and delivering measurement campaigns, including experimental data capture on site Post-processing, analysing and interpreting engineering data to inform design solutions Preparing technical reports, engineering presentations and client deliverables to a high professional standard Preparing data for input into finite element analysis (FEA) and related computational modelling Collaborating with modelling, commercial and operational teams to support project delivery Contributing to tenders, proposals and technical scope development for new engineering work Recommending practical vibration and acoustic mitigation solutions based on evidence and engineering judgement Supporting inventory management, hardware upkeep and equipment maintenance
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Every day your agent scans the market matching roles against what actually matters to you, not just keywords on a CV.
Why you're a good match
You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
At senior level, you will also take on technical leadership, client relationship management, mentoring of junior and mid-level engineers, and broader responsibility for project delivery outcomes.
What We're Looking For
We hire on capability, attitude and potential. Your qualifications matter less than your ability to do the work. We welcome applications from candidates with a range of backgrounds. You’ll need: A degree, HNC/HND, apprenticeship or equivalent practical experience in engineering (mechanical, electrical, electronic, aerospace, structural, renewable or civil), physics, acoustics, vibration or a related discipline. Desirable but not essential where practical experience and technical competence can be demonstrated.
Strong grounding in mathematical analysis, engineering principles and technical problem-solving. Experience with noise measurement, vibration analysis, acoustic assessment or dynamic system engineering is highly desirable.
A working knowledge of, or exposure to, MATLAB and MathWorks software packages, COMSOL Multiphysics, SolidWorks, ANSYS or similar engineering modelling and simulation tools. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to write clear technical reports and present findings to clients and stakeholders.
Exposure to numerical modelling, finite element analysis, simulation calibration or data preparation for computational engineering is beneficial at all levels and expected at senior level. Willingness and ability to travel within the UK and potentially overseas for project work.
Who You Are
Technical skills are important, but at Xi they are not the only measure of success. We place equal value on communication, professionalism, collaboration and team fit. We are looking for engineers who:
