Job Description Job Title: Engineering Controls Lead – Submarines Working Pattern: Standard 37 hrs/wk Working location: Derby The Engineering Controls Lead (ECL) will report into Assistant Chief Engineer – Nuclear Facilities with a focus on the Fissile Regeneration Programme for Core Production. The ECL will be responsible for developing and maintaining the governance processes, engineering controls and management systems required to deliver the design and safety baselines of new Nuclear Facilities on the Raynesway Estate in Derby. This will involve management of engineering management plans, configuration management control and integration of design processes between the Nuclear Facilities, Infrastructure DBU and our delivery partners. Develop, maintain and manage the processes for delivering the design and safety baselines of all future nuclear Core Production facilities. Enabling out delivery partners and supply chain to interface with the RRSL governance and internal delivery processes. Ensure effective knowledge management, in-line with company KiD policy, through the use of knowledge capture, lessons learnt, and best practice guides for the resource group, and embed these lessons into our processes. Lead the engineering change control and configuration management baseline processes. Identify, develop and embed engineering delivery control mechanisms and metrics to demonstrate engineering quality and programme health. To be successful in this role you will need to: Qualified to degree level or equivalent. Demonstrable experience in engineering governance arrangements and facility design. Demonstrate experience in the setting and execution of engineering processes (iaw a quality system) and safety management arrangements. Demonstrate experience in of engineering change control processes and their underpinning configuration data. To work for the Rolls-Royce Defence business an individual has to hold a Security Check clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you do not currently already have this in place.
