New Role: Engineering Governance Officer

Salary Range: £44k to £50k

Leonardo UK employs a graded salary framework featuring broad bands. This job’s salary range mirrors the approved band for this position—or a narrower hiring band within it—based on market benchmarking. Any exceptions beyond the standard framework adhere to internal equity governance.

About the Role

Our Helicopter Division (Yeovil) is recruiting for an Engineering Governance Officer. Aligned with the Engineering System Monitoring function, this role focuses on ensuring compliance with both external regulatory standards and internal requirements for the UK’s engineering Operating Framework. It also involves supporting UK Military Product coordination under the Integrated Process (UK-ITA).

You’ll leverage collaboration skills and resourcefulness to optimize the Engineering aspects of the Company Operating System, engaging across functional interfaces, senior management, and all tiers of the Engineering organization. Your expertise will drive product development, shape engineering policies, and refine processes to ensure efficiency and regulatory alignment.

Your Responsibilities

Engineering Compliance & Monitoring

  • Lead internal (self) audits to confirm UK Design Approved Organisation Scheme (DAOS) design assurance processes are present, effective, and operating at full strength.
  • Support and prepare for external audits (e.g., Leonardo Helicopter Quality Systems or third-party).
  • Analyze, review, and endorse revisions to Company Operating System changes relevant to Engineering processes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
