About the Role
The Engineering Graduate Programme is a key talent development initiative at King & Moffatt Building Services.
This two-year, engineering-biased programme enables Graduates to gain hands-on knowledge and experience across our industry before joining specific sectors and departments. The programme consists of four strategic postings, exposing participants to:
- Operations (office & site)
- Design / BIM (office-based)
- EHSQ (Environmental, Health, Safety & Quality) (office & site)
- Commercial (office & site)

Graduates will develop cross-departmental skills, positioning them for future leadership roles.
What You Will Gain from the Programme
Over two years, Graduates will:
- Gain understanding of contract specifications, employer requirements, and construction drawings
- Learn the procurement process, including preparing order/material requests, updating procurement trackers, and managing supplier contact and cost control
- Study service schematics (P&ID) for water systems, heating/cooling, ventilation, and electrical schematics (LV, MV, HV)
- Undertake live project tasks, such as sizing hydraulic lines, ventilation ductwork systems, and cable calculations
- Gain knowledge of electrical installation methods, including containment, conduits, trays, box sections, and ladder racks
- Study pipework systems, jointing methods, components, valves, and gauges
- Familiarise yourself with EHSQ procedures—including oversight of SPAs, GA forms, risk assessments, and method statements
- Prepare and issue variation orders and tender packages for sub-contractors and suppliers

Requirements
Applicants should possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Building Services, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Willingness to learn and maximise the programme’s value
- A team player mindset, driven by excellence in work performance
