As part of the KION Group, we combine global scale with a culture of engineering excellence — and now we’re looking for a motivated Engineering Intern to join us for a 12-month placement.

Tasks And Qualifications

What You’ll Be Doing

  • You’ll be embedded within one of our engineering teams, learning from experienced professionals and contributing to live projects. Your responsibilities will grow as your skills develop, and you’ll be supported every step of the way.
  • Show enthusiasm for learning and a genuine interest in engineering and automation.
  • Observe, absorb, and understand a wide range of technical skills and processes.
  • Progressively take on tasks independently or as part of a team as your confidence grows.
  • Complete all training activities and meet academic requirements for your placement.
  • Maintain high standards of professionalism, punctuality, and communication.
  • Follow all Health & Safety legislation and contribute to a safe working environment.
  • Ensure quality in all work undertaken and accurately record your activities.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
  • Represent Dematic professionally when interacting with colleagues, partners, and customers.
  • Maintain records of your learning and project involvement for university reporting.

What We’re Looking For

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering or a STEM discipline.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, positive approach to learning.
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites.
  • Curiosity, initiative, and a desire to contribute to meaningful engineering work.
