About the Role
The Business Accounting Integrations & Reporting team is dedicated to simplifying financial management for Wise’s business customers. We design integrations that seamlessly connect accounting software with Wise, streamlining reconciliation processes and enhancing financial reporting. Our work empowers businesses worldwide to gain better control and insights into their finances.
Our engineering team, spread across London and Budapest, collaborates closely with other teams within Business Account Squad. For 2026/27, we’re on an ambitious roadmap to:
- Expand our geographical reach for integrations.
- Enhance reporting capabilities.
- Build a reliable and extensible infrastructure platform.
Key Responsibilities
In This Role, You Will:
- Partner with a Product Manager and a cross-functional team to shape the roadmap, set technical and product vision, and deliver scalable, resilient solutions.
- Lead, coach, and mentor talented engineers within your team:
- Focus on professional growth and removing blockers.
- Ensure engineers can deliver their best work.
- Ensure strong execution with:
- Clear project planning.
- Realistic commitments.
- Healthy team operations.
- Reside closely with the product, constantly pushing for high engineering standards and leading by example.
- Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Work with other engineering leads at Wise to align the team with long-term technical strategy and architecture.
- Own hiring, development, and long-term impact of your team.

Requirements
Must-Have Qualifications
You must demonstrate:
- Strong hands-on experience in OOP languages (Java or similar) and working with modern technology stacks such as:
- REST APIs
- Microservices
- Distributed systems
- CI/CD pipelines
- Proven ability to design and architect scalable, efficient platforms, specifically contributing to integration platforms that streamline accounting software onboarding and reduce engineering workload.
- Experience in leading and mentoring software engineers, with a proven record of helping teams grow.
- A customer-first mindset, with experience building customer-facing products.
- Familiarity with distributed, high-scalability systems and designing microservices architectures.
- Strong technical communication skills, allowing you to explain complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated success in collaborating with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and analysts.

Compensation & Benefits
Starting Salary
£111k – £145k GBP (including RSUs).
