We're working with a global investment management firm that is investing heavily in the modernisation of its technology estate. This is an opportunity to lead talented engineering teams, influence technical direction, and deliver innovative solutions that support business-critical operations across a global organisation.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys remaining close to the technology while providing technical leadership, mentoring engineers, and driving engineering excellence across multiple workstreams.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading the design, development and delivery of scalable, secure, enterprise-grade software solutions.
  • Providing technical leadership across multiple Agile engineering teams.
  • Working closely with architects, delivery leads, product owners and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality software.
  • Championing engineering best practices including code quality, testing, CI/CD and secure development.
  • Mentoring and coaching engineers to help develop technical capability across the team.
  • Driving platform modernisation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Helping shape engineering standards, reusable components and technical strategy across the wider organisation.

Experience Required:

  • Experience as an Engineering Lead, Technical Lead, Principal Engineer or Lead Software Engineer, who combines strong technical expertise with excellent leadership skills.
  • C# /.NET development
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Designing scalable enterprise applications
  • CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code
  • Modern software engineering principles and best practices
  • Agile delivery environments
  • Software architecture and system design
  • Coaching and mentoring engineering teams
  • Experience within Financial Services, Asset Management, Investment Banking, Capital Markets or another regulated industry would be highly advantageous.
  • Exposure to technologies such as React, TypeScript, Node.js, Python, Snowflake or low-code platforms would be beneficial but is not essential.
