Join our team delivering design & engineering services across Transport for London's Infrastructure Improvement Framework (IIF) portfolio, supporting the design development and assurance of a range of infrastructure programmes that improve reliability, capacity and passenger experience across the network.
As our pipeline of work continues to grow, we are seeking experienced engineering professionals to join our Amey Consulting London Talent Pool, including:
- Civil Engineers
- Track Engineers
- E&P Engineers (High Voltage Design)
These are our priority skill areas right now, but we're always looking to grow our talent community. If you have expertise in infrastructure engineering, design, project or engineering management and are interested in a career with Amey Consulting, we'd encourage you to apply and start a conversation with us.
We offer a range of flexible working practices, including hybrid, part-time and flexible working patterns, with opportunities to work on some of London's most challenging and high-profile transport infrastructure projects. I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
