As an Engineering Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in building a world-class engineering function where technical excellence, ownership, and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything we do. You'll create an environment where engineers are empowered to solve meaningful problems at scale while balancing long-term technical strategy with delivery.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing engineering team.
- Recruit, develop, and retain engineering talent.
- Foster a culture of ownership, psychological safety, and continuous improvement.
- Drive technical excellence and engineering best practices.
- Own the technical health, reliability, and maintainability of critical customer-facing systems.
- Partner with Staff and Principal Engineers on architecture and technical strategy.
- Collaborate with Product Managers to balance delivery, customer value, and technical debt.
- Champion Agile ways of working and data-driven engineering improvements.
- Drive adoption of AI-augmented engineering practices and developer tooling.
- Ensure engineering practices align with governance, security, and risk requirements.
Required Experience & Qualifications
You’ll bring:
- Proven experience leading high-performing software engineering teams within modern technology organisations.
- A strong software engineering background, including experience guiding architecture, scalability, maintainability, and reliability.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (Product Managers, Staff Engineers, etc.).
- Passion for developing people, improving developer experience, and embracing AI-augmented engineering practices such as Spec-Driven Development.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality technology that creates value for customers and the business.
