Engineering Manager Major Infrastructure | Highly Regulated Environment | Up to £85,000 + Package
A leading international contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Engineering Manager to support the delivery of a major infrastructure programme in Cumbria, within a highly regulated environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior civil engineer looking to lead engineering teams on complex, technically challenging projects.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Projects, you will:
- Lead the engineering function across major infrastructure projects.
- Manage Design Managers, Responsible Engineers, and engineering teams.
- Provide technical leadership from the tender stage through to construction and handover.
- Ensure engineering solutions are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
- Drive innovation, value engineering, and best practice.
- Work closely with construction, quality, digital, and client engineering teams.

Requirements
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering (essential).
- Strong civil engineering background on major infrastructure projects.
- Experience working for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor.
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Excellent understanding of design management, engineering assurance, and construction delivery.
- Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status is desirable.
- Previous experience within a highly regulated environment is advantageous.
