Engineering Manager
Are you seeking a role where you can use your experience in engineering and facilities management or maintenance? We’re embarking on a period of significant investment at the Port of Heysham and we’re looking for an Engineering and Facilities Manager who’s ready to play a key role in supporting and shaping the future of our Port.
Your Role
This role will provide you with an opportunity to step into a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same. You will be working with a small team as well as overseeing contractors, to driving improvements in site-wide maintenance and engineering standards, you’ll be at the heart of operations, leading from the front ensuring there is a strong focus on safety and compliance throughout.
You’ll also manage the administration team, providing support and high levels of customer service across the operation and for visitors to the site.
What You'll Bring
You will have:
- Proven experience in engineering and facilities management/maintenance in environments such as ports, logistics, warehouse, or other industrial settings;
- Strong supervisory background with the ability to lead teams and manage contractors;
- A proactive mindset and the drive to take ownership of varied operational and engineering challenges;
- Experience working cross-functionally with third-party providers and contractors to maintain and improve site infrastructure;
- Ideally a NEBOSH certificate.
