We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to join our London team. In this role, you’ll lead, build, and grow teams of world-class engineers, taking responsibility for their technical execution and impact through ambiguity as we scale. This role is based in our London office with a hybrid setup, typically 3 days in the office.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will lead a multi-disciplinary team of engineers across various platforms. You will report to a Senior Engineering Manager or Engineering Director, helping to shape the future of our three-sided marketplace.

Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:

  • Lead and grow a multi-disciplinary team of Backend, iOS, Android, and Web engineers, fostering a diverse and high-achieving environment.
  • Drive technical and product strategy by setting clear project goals, guiding implementation choices, and ensuring your team hits group-level metrics.
  • Champion a learning culture through active mentorship, helping engineers and emerging leaders accelerate their careers.
  • Scale our engineering practices by implementing processes and values that improve team efficiency and code quality.
  • Maintain technical engagement by contributing to code reviews and technical design, ensuring the health and observability of your team's systems.

What You’ll Need to Thrive

Our ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in some of these areas and curiosity to grow in others:

  • Significant experience in people management, with at least 2 years spent leading engineering teams through performance reviews and goal setting.
  • A strong technical background as a Software Engineer, with a proven ability to build user-focused products at pace.
  • Demonstrated success in team building, including hiring, onboarding, and supporting the personal growth of colleagues.
  • Proven ability to lead through ambiguity, managing both local and remote engineers to deliver high-impact projects.
  • Experience collaborating across disciplines, working closely with Product, Design, and Operations to influence the broader roadmap.
