Job Description Join our team and you’ll be responsible for leading our Data Platform team, driving delivery excellence, shaping platform capabilities and enabling data, analytics and AI-driven solutions across the business. Working in the Data Platform Engineering department, you will collaborate closely with Product, Data and Engineering teams to deliver scalable, reliable and secure platform services while improving engineering effectiveness through modern practices, including AI and automation. You will play a vital role as we reimagine the labour market to make it work for everybody. Your responsibilities: Drive delivery excellence by establishing clear planning, prioritisation and execution practices that ensure predictable, high-quality outcomes. Collaborate across the business with Product, Data, Architecture and Engineering teams to translate business needs into impactful platform solutions. Provide technical leadership by guiding architecture and design decisions, ensuring scalability, reliability and security. Enhance engineering effectiveness by championing AI-assisted development, automation and continuous improvement initiatives. Build and grow high-performing teams through coaching, mentoring and fostering an inclusive, supportive engineering culture. Qualifications Proven experience as an Engineering Manager, with a track record of improving delivery and team performance. Strong background in data platforms, platform engineering or cloud infrastructure (ideally AWS). Experience with distributed systems, event-driven architectures and streaming technologies (e.g. Kafka). Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience working across cross-functional teams. A balanced approach to technical leadership and people development, with a passion for building scalable platforms and enabling teams to succeed.
