Engineering Manager (Design / Composites)

Milton : Office Based

A GBP 60,000 to A GBP 75,000 + 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays

Monday to Friday 08:30 to 17:00

Engineering Manager required for a leading composites company who work with industries such as medical and aerospace. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a varied role where you will be an integral member of the team.

This role would suit an experienced composites engineer with experience spanning design and project management. You will hold an engineering degree (or equivalent).

The Engineering Manager will be responsible for management R and D and customer projects from start to finish whilst overseeing a small engineering team of 3:4 engineers. You can expect to spend approximately 40% of your time using CATIA V5 to develop designs, and the further 60% of your time will be spent focusing on broader project management responsibilities.

Engineering Manager Role

  • Oversee projects from start to finish
  • Lead design activities using CATIA V5
  • FEA
  • Lead role in customer quotations and manage customer purchase order sign off
  • Manage quotations for outsourced tools and materials and manage purchase orders through ERP system
  • Management of manufacturing schedules in line with orders
  • Organise documentation such as PFMEA, control plans, SOPs, etc.
  • Support the quality engineer to ensure projects are in line with AS 9100
