Location: London (Hybrid)

Our client, a fast-growing SaaS business is seeking a hands-on leader to help shape the future of a market-leading platform used by major UK organisations.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-funded technology company at a key stage of growth. The business has developed an innovative platform that connects employees with the digital tools and services they need, delivering a seamless and secure user experience at scale.

You will play a pivotal role across engineering, architecture, product, and delivery. You'll provide technical direction, influence product strategy, mentor engineers, and remain actively involved in software development and architectural decision-making.

The Role

  • Lead the design, development, and evolution of the platform's technical architecture
  • Define and influence decisions around technology stack, infrastructure, frameworks, and integrations
  • Work closely with Product and wider business stakeholders to align technical solutions with strategic objectives
  • Provide hands-on leadership through coding, code reviews, and technical guidance
  • Mentor and develop engineers, fostering a high-performance engineering culture
  • Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions
  • Drive improvements in system performance, reliability, security, and scalability
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to continuous technical innovation

About You

We're looking for an experienced technical leader who combines strong architectural capability with a hands-on engineering background.

You will ideally have:

  • Proven experience designing and scaling B2B SaaS platforms
  • Strong full-stack development expertise, particularly with C#,.NET, JavaScript, and React
  • Experience building and integrating APIs and third-party systems
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud technologies
  • Experience working with modern distributed systems and scalable architectures
  • The ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, product, and customer-facing teams
  • A pragmatic approach to problem-solving and technical decision-making
  • Previous experience mentoring or leading software engineers

  • Identity and Access Management (IAM)
  • Single Sign-On (SSO) technologies
  • Microsoft Entra ID / Azure Active Directory
  • Azure Service Fabric
  • Azure Container Apps
  • Cosmos DB
