Our client, a fast-growing SaaS business is seeking a hands-on leader to help shape the future of a market-leading platform used by major UK organisations.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-funded technology company at a key stage of growth. The business has developed an innovative platform that connects employees with the digital tools and services they need, delivering a seamless and secure user experience at scale.
You will play a pivotal role across engineering, architecture, product, and delivery. You'll provide technical direction, influence product strategy, mentor engineers, and remain actively involved in software development and architectural decision-making.
The Role
- Lead the design, development, and evolution of the platform's technical architecture
- Define and influence decisions around technology stack, infrastructure, frameworks, and integrations
- Work closely with Product and wider business stakeholders to align technical solutions with strategic objectives
- Provide hands-on leadership through coding, code reviews, and technical guidance
- Mentor and develop engineers, fostering a high-performance engineering culture
- Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions
- Drive improvements in system performance, reliability, security, and scalability
- Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to continuous technical innovation

About You
We're looking for an experienced technical leader who combines strong architectural capability with a hands-on engineering background.
You will ideally have:

- Proven experience designing and scaling B2B SaaS platforms
- Strong full-stack development expertise, particularly with C#,.NET, JavaScript, and React
- Experience building and integrating APIs and third-party systems
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud technologies
- Experience working with modern distributed systems and scalable architectures
- The ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, product, and customer-facing teams
- A pragmatic approach to problem-solving and technical decision-making
- Previous experience mentoring or leading software engineers
Desirable experience includes:
- Identity and Access Management (IAM)
- Single Sign-On (SSO) technologies
- Microsoft Entra ID / Azure Active Directory
- Azure Service Fabric
- Azure Container Apps
- Cosmos DB
