Our services are mission-critical to the UK’s top banks, automating their mortgage offers. They’re used daily by home builders, mortgage brokers, local councils, and more to make informed property purchasing decisions.
We have an exciting strategy to serve an even wider section of the market, with innovative products and services.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced, customer delivery-focused Engineering Manager to lead our Client Engineering team. This role will have a real opportunity to have an impact on some of our most important customers.
Engineering Managers at Hometrack are "Player Managers" and you can expect approximately a 60/40 split between engineering and managing.
Key Responsibilities
- Be deeply customer-focused and outcome-driven.
- Engage directly with customer calls and troubleshoot technical issues "live" with customer tech teams, deciding when to escalate or involve internal Hometrack expertise.
- Own the Release and Hotfix process, including final approval for deployments linked to CET (Client Experience Team) delivery.
- Question and challenge the CET team when reviewing work to maintain high quality standards.
- Act as the technical spokesperson for the CET team, attending cross-functional meetings and contributing to the Engineering Management group.
- Be a rapid learner, swiftly building an encyclopaedic knowledge of all major customer solutions.
- Take responsibility for CAB, eCAB, and feature toggle prep and presentation.
- Drive a culture of performance and delivery through team goals and rapid feedback.
- Handle contractor admin and management.
- Maintain accurate timesheet reporting across:
- Client deliveries
- Internal support
- Live service support & operations
- Tech-driven projects
- Provide energy and enthusiasm to bolster team morale.
- Collaborate closely with project managers across differing programmes, managing competing priorities.
- Own and drive a technical & productivity improvement backlog, monitoring progress and efficiency gains.
