Job Summary
We are hiring an Engineering Manager on behalf of a well-established IT services firm to join their growing internal product development team. This role leads a multi-disciplinary engineering team across one or more platforms, with a focus on people leadership, delivery quality, and building a high-performing engineering culture. You will work closely with Product, Design, and Scrum Masters to drive consistency and continuous improvement. Experience with AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering practices would be a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support a multi-disciplinary engineering team across one or more platforms
- Embed engineering standards, governance, and consistent ways of working across teams
- Manage team performance, career growth, and wellbeing in a psychologically safe environment
- Partner with Scrum Masters to monitor delivery metrics and drive continuous improvement
- Identify and resolve risks, blockers, and delivery challenges to keep teams on track
- Champion adoption of modern tools and AI-assisted workflows to improve efficiency and quality
Qualifications & Requirements
Essential
- Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or similar leadership role within a software development environment
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery and software development practices
- Experience managing and developing multi-disciplinary teams across multiple projects or platforms
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills with a focus on career development and performance
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills and ability to manage competing priorities
- Experience working with delivery metrics (e.g. velocity, cycle time) to improve team performance
- Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and GitHub, or similar platforms
