The Role

You’re an aspiring Engineering Manager passionate about software development. Duties include:

  • Overseeing and mentoring a software engineering team while developing our NaaS platform
  • Equally responsible for both new product features and sustaining/expanding existing systems
  • Product-focused with detail-oriented leadership, coaching engineers to align development with business and user needs

Responsibilities

Team Management & Leadership

  • Mentor and motivate our A-team of engineers, fostering growth and accountability
  • Drive technical direction in sync with product goals, collaborating with engineering and product teams

Engineering Direction & Scaling

  • Optimise internal processes via continuous improvement to boost efficiency and team effectiveness
  • Systematically target tech debt with dedicated time for refactoring and system scaling
  • Evaluate emerging tech and design frameworks, providing guidance to innovation projects

Strategic Delivery

  • Ensure systems scale sustainably for long-term business growth
  • Balance roadmap execution with agile goals, coordinating inputs across cross-functional partners

Requirements

We’re seeking:

  • Hands-on software engineering experience with proven technical depth
  • Track record in scaling engineering teams (ideally in product-driven environments)
  • Strong leadership skills, coaching capability, and engineer/stakeholder alignment
  • Time management excellence—managing workloads and influencing projects efficiently
  • Exceptional cross-functional collaboration across teams and geographies
