This is an excellent opportunity for a telecoms engineering professional with strong leadership experience to play a pivotal role in driving engineering excellence, managing technical delivery, and supporting the successful execution of major telecoms infrastructure programmes across the UK.

The Role

As Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading and developing the Engineering team while ensuring the successful delivery of telecoms engineering and design activities. You will provide technical leadership across the Design Department, overseeing engineering outputs such as GDCs, structural calculations, surveys, drawings, and associated technical documentation.

Working closely with internal stakeholders, clients, and external suppliers, you will help drive quality, consistency, compliance, and continuous improvement across engineering processes while ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day activities, performance, and development of the Engineering team.
  • Provide technical leadership and promote engineering excellence across the Design Department.
  • Oversee the delivery of telecoms engineering and design activities across multiple projects and clients.
  • Manage and review GDCs, structural calculations, surveys, drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Ensure all engineering outputs comply with client standards, CDM regulations, and industry requirements.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to Design Managers, Delivery Leads, and wider project teams.
  • Manage engineering resource allocation and support workload planning across programmes.
  • Coordinate and manage external suppliers and engineering partners.
  • Review technical risks and support the resolution of complex engineering challenges.
  • Drive quality, consistency, and continuous improvement across engineering processes.
  • Support client engagement activities and attend technical and operational meetings when required.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop engineering personnel to support business growth and capability development.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
