About the Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Engineering Manager to join one of the UK's most iconic heritage manufacturing businesses as they continue their transition towards a more modern, digitally driven operation.

This role offers the chance to lead, develop, and rebuild the engineering function while supporting continued investment into digital technology, manufacturing capability, and site infrastructure. This is a highly visible role that will suit a practical Engineering Manager who enjoys being close to the operation, developing people, and challenging the status quo to drive continuous improvement.

Reporting Structure

Reporting into the Operations Leadership Team, you will take responsibility for the engineering function, working closely alongside an experienced Engineering Supervisor and supporting the development of the future engineering team.

You will inherit a business that has made significant progress over the last two years and has ambitious plans for further investment, growth, and digitalization. This is not a role for someone who wants to sit behind a desk. We're looking for an Engineering Manager who enjoys being on the shop floor, developing engineers, improving systems, and helping shape the future of the department.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
