Role Overview:
We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the development of high-quality, foundational large language models through supervised fine tuning and reinforcement learning from human feedback tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage teams of 20+ Python, JavaScript, Java, and other language developers to execute technical tasks effectively.
- Collaborate closely with researcher clients to ensure satisfaction with delivered work.
- Maintain rigorous review processes to ensure the highest quality of datasets.
- Oversee project transitions from initiation to stable states, taking full responsibility for delivery.
- Identify and implement measures to enhance the quality of code within the team.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 3+ years in an engineering management role.
- Proven experience managing large technical teams in a delivery-oriented role.
- Experience with Python or Java and JavaScript.
- Demonstrated ability to engage in hands-on technical work, identifying and resolving quality issues.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with a focus on motivating teams.
