Key Tasks and Accountabilities
- Provide overall technical leadership and oversight for civil engineering projects, from concept through completion.
- Establish and enforce engineering standards, best practices, and quality control procedures.
- Manage delivery of contractor and temporary works design. Review and approve designs, drawings, specifications, and calculations.
- Ensure compliance with industry, regulations, codes, and safety standards.
- Lead, mentor, and develop project engineers, and technical staff.
- Collaborate with executive leadership, project managers, clients, and external stakeholders.
- Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Support business development efforts by providing technical input for proposals and bids.
- Oversee management and execution of temporary works or lifting (subject to suitable experience)
- Review ITPs and RAMS

Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent
- Chartered Engineer (MICE, MIStructE or equivalent)
- Relevant experience in civil engineering, including leadership roles.
- Proven experience managing large-scale or complex infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of civil design standards, and construction methods.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to balance technical excellence with business and operational objectives.
- CSCS Card.

Desirable:
- Digital information and modelling knowledge
- ISO-19650 and PAS:8811 familiarity
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency with engineering and project management software.
- Experience in a Nuclear Environment
- Experience as CRE or CEM
