What You Will Work On
Ashbyâs engineering leaders donât pure-admin sprints. Youâll jump deep into:

Coaching the Coaches
- Give high-caliber feedback on specs, code-lift without micromanagement, innovate alongside teams to slash manual overhead.
- Example: Our automation now 30% auto-CI auto-approve mergesâI wrote it. You will, too.

Engineering Ownership in Practice
- Guide talent up to complex, unstructured challenges using triage + prototyping modes. Think: "How do we make our demo data generation 5x smarter?"
- Commit to tech debt relentlesslyâno "busywork"âwhile maximizing whole-team velocity.

Process Innovation, Not Process Worship
- Identify stranglers ("Why is this approval still 2 weeks?") and build solutions that scale themselves (hello, customizable AI-guided code reviews).
- Clear ownership across systems: front-end to infra, data sync challenges to API resilience. No abstract tower management.
