Engineering Manager - UK/IR market

Mobile Application Engineering Manager (UK & Ireland) – Platform Product

Introduction

Position at LeoVegas UK

As a Mobile Application Engineering Manager within Platform Product, you will lead our talented team of Mobile Engineers responsible for delivering customer-facing experiences for the UK & Ireland market.


About the Role

This is a people-first leadership role where you will:

  • Build, coach, and empower a high-performing engineering team.
  • Partner closely with Product, Design, and key business stakeholders.
  • Deliver high-quality software in a fast-moving, highly regulated environment.

Your team plays a critical role in delivering features that improve the customer journey, with a particular focus on:

  • Responsible Gaming
  • Customer Onboarding
  • Regulatory compliance

Beyond delivery, you’ll help:

  • Shape engineering culture.
  • Improve development practices.
  • Create an environment where engineers thrive.

Working across multiple disciplines, you’ll collaborate with Engineering, Product, Legal, Compliance, and Operations to ensure secure, scalable, and engaging experiences for millions of customers.


Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership & Growth

    • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Mobile Engineers.
    • Provide regular feedback, mentorship, and career development.
    • Foster an .inclusive and empowering culture where innovation flourishes.
  • Product & Stakeholder Collaboration

    • Partner with Product Managers to define priorities and roadmaps.
    • Align delivery with customer outcomes and business goals.
  • Regulatory & Quality Focus

    • Drive the successful delivery of regulatory initiatives in UK & Ireland.
    • Balance customer experience, technical quality, and business priorities.

  • Technical Excellence

    • Work with engineers to improve engineering practices and delivery processes.

    • Support knowledge sharing, alignment, and software-building improvements across teams.

Requirements

Essential Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years’ experience leading & developing software engineering teams.
  • Experience in delivering customer-facing software products in an agile environment.
  • Technical & Professional Leadership
    • Track record of building high-performing, engaged engineering teams.
    • Strong balancing skills—aligning product priorities, technical quality, and team wellbeing.
    • Coaching mindset with a passion for nurturing people’s growth (across different locations).
    • Excellent communication skills to influence at all organisation levels.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Mobile Engineering Leadership
    • Experience leading React Native teams.
  • Project & Regulatory Leadership
    • Background in regulated industries (e.g., iGaming, fintech, or financial services).
    • HR or workforce stability experience to maintain a stable, productive working environment.
  • Process Improvement
    • Experience driving engineering improvements, delivery excellence, or organisational change.
