As an Engineering Manager, you’ll lead the creation of a world-class engineering function, where technical excellence, ownership, and continuous improvement are embedded in everything we do. Your focus? Empowering engineers to deliver scalable, reliable solutions that drive real business impact—all while balancing long-term strategy with execution.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing engineering team, fostering growth and talent retention.
- Recruit top engineering talent and ensure their development enhances skills and job satisfaction.
- Cultivate a culture of ownership, psychological safety, and continuous learning.
- Drive technical excellence through robust engineering best practices.
- Own the technical health, reliability, and maintainability of critical customer-facing systems.
- Partner with Staff and Principal Engineers to shape architecture and technical strategy.
- Collaborate with Product Managers to optimise trade-offs between delivery, customer value, and technical debt.
- Champion Agile workflows and data-driven engineering improvements.
- Accelerate AI-augmented engineering practices and developer tooling adoption.
- Ensure alignment with governance, security, and risk requirements.

What We’re Looking For
You’ll bring: ✔ Proven experience leading high-performing engineering teams in modern tech organisations. ✔ A strong software engineering background, with expertise in architecture, scalability, reliability, and maintainability. ✔ Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with experience guiding team decisions. ✔ A passion for people development, improving developer experience (DX), and advancing AI-augmented practices (e.g., spec-driven development). ✔ A track record of delivering high-impact, customer-valued technology.
