Role Overview
SubSea Craft is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive Engineering Office Co-Ordinator to help shape and advance our Engineering Framework. This is a varied and dynamic role that sits at the heart of our engineering function, enabling the delivery of cutting-edge maritime technology. This role is pivotal in ensuring engineering teams operate efficiently by owning administration, reporting, process optimisation, and delivery frameworks, KPI Reporting and operational support to the Director of Engineering.

You will act as a force multiplier for engineering leadership - ensuring teams operate with clarity, consistency, and measurable performance. You’ll play an active role in the engineering efforts that drive our mission forward.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the Engineering Director to evolve and implement the Engineering Framework and toolsets across the organisation to improve team efficiency.
- Work in close partnership with discipline Heads, and the Systems Engineering team, to ensure alignment between engineering processes, system requirements, and engineering outputs.
- Document, refine, and standardise engineering and design processes, ensuring clarity, consistency, and traceability.
- Apply principles of information architecture to organise and structure design documentation for maximum usability and accessibility.
- Create and maintain high-quality diagrams, flowcharts, and visual aids that clearly communicate complex engineering concepts.
- Support the onboarding of new team members by maintaining clear, well-structured engineering guidance and reference materials.
- Establish and maintain engineering KPIs such as; Delivery progress, output quality and milestone tracking.
- Engage directly with engineering activities where appropriate, based on the candidate’s skills and interests, offering a varied and dynamic role within the team.
Qualifications and Experience
- A degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent industry experience
- Strong understanding of product development and product lifecycle
- Exceptional written communication skills and a passion for precision and detail
- Confident IT user, ideally with experience using Atlassian tools (e.g., Confluence, Jira) and databases
- Proactive, organised, and able to work independently

Note: Due to the nature of work undertaken at SubSea Craft, the selected candidate must be capable of meeting the security requirements of the position, which would include as a minimum Existing right to live and work in the UK, Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), with Security Check likely for specific projects.*
