Engineering Operative Apprentice
This is a fantastic opportunity to develop the skills required to become a competent Engineering Operative, supporting the manufacture of high-quality, innovative products in line with drawings, specifications and company standards. The role will cover a wide range of preparation, CNC machining, assembly, finishing and paint operations.
Requirements
- GCSE in English (grade 3 or above)
- GCSE in Maths (grade 3 or above)
- Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.

Responsibilities
- Assist with prepping materials for CNC processing and assembly
- Support CNC operations (under supervision)
- Assist with assembly of products
- Assist with paint preparation processes
- Support goods movement across the workshop
Benefits
- Wage: £16,640 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age. National Minimum Wage rate for apprentices. Regular reviews based on performance criteria as per our apprentice pay matrix.
- Training Course: Engineering operative (level 2)
- Hours: Monday to Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm. May work evenings and weekends after the apprenticeship is complete. 40 hours a week.
- Start Date: Saturday 1 August 2026
- Duration: 1 year 6 months
- Positions Available: 1
- Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
- Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.
- As part of your apprenticeship, and dependent on your prior attainment and age, you may be required to complete English and maths Functional Skills, which is an integral part of your apprenticeship. Upon successful completion, you will be awarded additional certificates of recognition for these qualifications.
