Engineering Project Manager

Location: Lifton, Devon, PL16 0BB
Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 per annum

We're now looking for an Engineering Project Manager to play a key role in delivering impactful capital and improvement projects at our Ambrosia Creamery in Lifton, Devon.

The role
Reporting into the Senior Project Manager, you'll lead capital, revenue and continuous improvement projects from initial concept through to delivery. Working closely with Engineering, Operations, Technical and Commercial teams, you'll ensure projects are delivered safely, compliantly, on time and within budget, while supporting site priorities and our wider business strategy.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing multiple engineering projects from feasibility through to completion
  • Leading project planning, scope, budgets, timelines and risk management
  • Ensuring designs meet food safety, hygiene and statutory compliance standards
  • Managing contractors and suppliers with a strong focus on safety and quality
  • Monitoring progress, resolving issues and communicating clearly with stakeholders
  • Supporting continuous improvement, operational KPI delivery and cost-saving initiatives

What you'll bring
We're looking for a confident and collaborative project professional who can balance pace with rigour.

You'll need:

  • Proven experience delivering engineering projects in a food manufacturing / FMCG environment
  • Strong end-to-end project management capability, including capital governance
  • Experience managing contractors and third parties safely and effectively
  • Solid engineering and manufacturing knowledge
  • Excellent organisation, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under pressure

Ideally, you'll also have:

  • A degree (or equivalent experience) in Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline
  • A background that includes hands-on engineering experience (apprenticeship desirable)
