About The Role

Aztec West, Bristol (hybrid)

From £80,000 Depending On Experience

Grade: D

Ready to lead a critical delivery programme at the heart of one of the UK's largest infrastructure projects? Do you enjoy bringing together complex engineering, commercial and stakeholder requirements to achieve successful outcomes? At EDF, Success is Personal – and this is an opportunity to make a lasting impact while shaping your own career journey.

The Opportunity

As an Engineering Sequence Lead, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of a major engineering work package supporting Hinkley Point C. You'll provide leadership and oversight across scope, schedule, budget and stakeholder management, helping engineering teams operate effectively while ensuring client requirements are met. The role spans a broad range of Nuclear Island activities, including Mechanical, Electrical and HVAC (MEH) works, civil works and secondary steelwork interfaces, with a particular focus on supporting and coordinating MEH delivery. Your work will directly support the delivery of low-carbon nuclear generation and the journey towards An Electric Britain.

EDF EPR Engineering UK delivers the design for nuclear island buildings, systems, and equipment for Hinkley Point C and similar projects. Working as part of an integrated team, EPR Engineering supports construction and commissioning while preparing design‑replication feasibility and related engineering activities.

This position is based at #AztecWest in #Bristol, where you'll work closely with project teams, engineering specialists and key stakeholders supporting delivery across the Nuclear Island programme.

In this senior leadership position, you'll take ownership of the Sequence 3 Task Order, managing delivery performance, commercial interfaces, risk management activities and client engagement. You'll work across a diverse portfolio of engineering topics covering MEH, civil works and secondary steelwork activities, acting as a key interface between engineering teams, programme leadership and the client organisation. Predominantly focused on MEH programme management, you'll lead a dedicated team, influence long-term strategy, oversee significant budgets and contracts, and support the successful delivery of one of Europe's most complex and high-profile engineering projects.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
