Engineering Site Supervisor

Core Hours

Monday – Friday 8:00am – 17:00pm

Role Overview

Location: 76 Southbank, SE1 Reports To: Technical Services Manager

Integral UK Ltd are recruiting for an exciting Site Based Supervisor role. Based at 76 Southbank, a modern office by the River Thames in London’s Southbank, this position is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operational activities, including scheduled, preventative, and reactive maintenance of building services.

Candidates will:

  • Manage pre-planned and reactive maintenance, including statutory obligations.
  • Liaise with client consultants and insurers via Riskwise and Elogbooks systems.
  • Work closely with the Technical Support Manager, deputising in their absence.

Key Responsibilities

Health & Safety

  • Ensure adherence to Integral and Client Health and Safety Policies & Procedures, consulting the Contract Manager where necessary regarding conflicts.

Maintenance & Work Coordination

  • Support the Helpdesk Administrator in:
    • Planning PPM (Preventative Maintenance Programmes)—including out-of-hours scheduling.
    • Assigning scheduled and reactive tasks to maintain effective completion of work.
    • Allocating work to team members based on capability & capacity.
  • Implement recommendations from servicing checks.
  • Support preparation and distribution of quotations for additional works as required.

Technical & Quality Compliance

  • Provide technical support to team.
  • Ensure full compliance with quality systems—including preventative and remedial work as documented in the quality manual.
  • Supervise additional works on-site to meet regulatory and operational standards.

Documentation & Accountability

  • Prepare and provide CDM (Construction Design & Management) documentation.
  • Conduct regular site audits to address any exceptions found.
  • Comply with Integral’s Health, Safety, and Environmental Procedures.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Provide cover for annual leave/sickness on scheduled PPM duties.
  • Deputise for the TSM in KPI meetings or similar.
  • Attend monthly WIP (Work In Progress) meetings to understand financial aspects of the contract for career development.
  • Undertake any additional duties deemed necessary by the Technical Support Manager.

Requirements

Personal Aptitude & Skills

  • Smart, professional presence with excellent logical problem-solving and fault-finding ability.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to:
    • Encourage team collaboration while maintaining control.
    • Work effectively unsupervised and in flexible/adaptive situations.
    • Communicate clearly—both written and verbal.

  • Proficient in managing a team while ensuring achievement of quality standards.

Technical & Experience Requirements

  • Experience in engineering within building services (essential).
  • Qualifications & Certifications:
    • NVQ / City & Guilds (C&G) or equivalent in Electrical Engineering (Preferred).
    • LVAP (Low Voltage Approved Person) Certification (Desirable).
