A leading facilities management provider is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day engineering operations across a prestigious site in Greater London. This is an excellent opportunity to lead a skilled engineering team, drive operational performance and ensure critical building systems remain safe, compliant and operating at peak efficiency.

The Role

As The Engineering Supervisor, You Will

  • Supervise and coordinate daily engineering and maintenance activities across the site.
  • Lead a team of engineers and apprentices, providing technical guidance, training and performance support.
  • Ensure the effective operation of HVAC and other critical building systems.
  • Manage planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance and emergency repairs.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify defects, improve reliability and minimise downtime.
  • Allocate workloads and ensure resources are utilised efficiently.
  • Oversee specialist contractors, monitoring performance and ensuring works meet agreed service levels.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, health & safety standards and permit-to-work procedures.
  • Maintain maintenance records, certifications and compliance documentation.
  • Support asset lifecycle planning, maintenance budgets and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Produce maintenance reports and KPIs while working closely with site management to deliver a high standard of service.

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

  • Previous experience as an Engineering Supervisor or within a technical maintenance leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, mechanical and electrical building services.
  • Experience leading engineering teams and managing contractor performance.
  • Good understanding of planned and reactive maintenance within a commercial facilities environment.
  • Knowledge of health & safety legislation, statutory compliance and permit-to-work systems.
  • Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
