Engineering Surveyor - KierBAM JV 10 Docks Civil Engineering Project
Location: Devonport Royal Docks, Plymouth
Hours: 42.5 Full-time
Important Notice: We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.
Security Clearance: Due to the sensitive nature of the site, BPSS security clearance is required. This process can take up to 8 weeks. Many positions within the project are subject to national security clearance restrictions, which may affect your eligibility based on your place of birth, nationality, current or former citizenship, and any residency you hold or have held.
Role Overview
As an Engineering Surveyor, you will be part of the Survey Engineering Team, providing accurate and timely survey data processing and modelling services. Your responsibilities will include:
- Checking and maintaining survey control networks.
- Conducting assurance surveys for construction of RC structures, including pre-pour and post-pour checks.
- Performing as-built surveys using laser scanning and modelling of point clouds.
- Ensuring survey data is collected and recorded accurately, following project QA/QC standards.
- Operating survey equipment to the highest precision within a civils environment.
- Supporting engineers with setting out activities to ensure consistent approaches to surveying and engineering.

Key Requirements
This role is ideal for you if:
- You hold a degree, diploma, or relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or Construction.
- You have experience in surveying and construction industries.
- You have experience in a similar surveying position on a civil engineering project.
- You have experience with surveying equipment, including total stations, GPS/GNSS, and laser scanners.
- You have experience with survey data processing software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Leica Infinity, Leica Cyclone, and Leica 3DR.
- You hold a CSCS Card and relevant site safety qualifications.
