Location: CV6
Salary: £17.61 per hour + shift allowance + overtime – £36,500+ p/a
Shift Pattern: Rotating Morning & Afternoon Shifts – 37.5 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Shifts
Morning Shift – 5 Day Week
- Monday – Thursday: 6:00am – 2:15pm
- Friday: 6:00am – 12:30pm
Afternoon Shift – 4 Day Week
- Monday – Wednesday: 2:00pm – Midnight
- Thursday: 2:00pm – 11:30pm
The Role
Empowered Personnel are recruiting for an experienced and hands-on Engineering Team Leader (Press Shop) to join a busy engineering company in the CV6 area.
This is a key leadership role within the press shop environment, responsible for leading a team to achieve high standards of quality, safety, and operational efficiency.

The successful candidate must have previous Team Leader or Supervisor experience within an engineering environment and be confident leading teams in a hands-on setting.
A valid FLT Counterbalance Licence is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise and motivate the team to ensure daily targets are achieved
- Conduct team briefings and delegate tasks effectively
- Ensure quality standards are maintained
- Maintain Health & Safety and Environmental standards
- Set and operate presses or assembly equipment when required
- Monitor machine/process performance and stop operations if standards are not met
- Identify training needs and support team development
- Develop and implement cost-saving ideas
- Operate FLT when required

Essential Requirements
- Previous Team Leader or Supervisor experience within an engineering environment
- FLT Counterbalance Licence
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Hands-on approach with good problem-solving ability
- Good Microsoft Word and Excel skills
- Good attention to detail
- Reliable with excellent timekeeping
Desirable Experience
- Press shop or assembly environment experience
- Power press or assembly setting experience
- Knowledge of IATF16949, ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001
