Engineering Technician

Stafford Fulfilment Centre

£48,127.56 + 10% shift allowance | 40.25 hrs per week | 4 on 4 off, 12 hr shifts, days and nights rotation

At Pets, our aim is to give the nation's pets what they need to be at their ball-chasing, tail-wagging best. Because we will not rest until every spaniel has a squeezy toy. Every calico has a cat tree. Every rabbit has a run. We are motivated to find the best talent in the Logistics & Distribution industry. Right now, we are looking for a Technician to join our Engineering Team at our Fulfilment Centre in Stafford.

The Role

Our Fulfilment Centre includes a high degree of automation, containing an automated storage and retrieval system and associated conveyance, designed to streamline and improve the existing e-commerce side of the business.

We are looking to recruit engineering technicians with experience in the maintenance of MHE (materials handling equipment) and other assets, to compliment the operation of the facility.

The engineering technician will be responsible in providing both a reactive and proactive maintenance service on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure within the FC. The role has a direct impact on the site, its productivity and operation. If equipment is not available or performs badly, it minimises the capacity and throughput of the site.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
