Keep our operation moving. Solve problems that matter. Make an impact every day.
We're looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our engineering team. If you thrive on fault finding, enjoy keeping machinery performing at its best, and take pride in preventing problems before they happen, we'd love to hear from you.
This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. You'll be responsible for maintaining and improving our production equipment, responding to breakdowns, and driving continuous improvements to maximise reliability, efficiency and safety across our manufacturing operation.
What you'll be doing
As a Maintenance Technician, you'll play a key role in ensuring our production facilities operate safely and efficiently by:
- Responding quickly to mechanical and electrical breakdowns to minimise downtime.
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out high-quality repairs to production machinery and equipment.
- Delivering Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules and helping to improve maintenance programmes.
- Installing, moving and commissioning machinery and equipment when required.
- Using our Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to record work, manage maintenance activities and identify recurring issues.
- Identifying root causes of equipment failures and recommending long-term solutions.
- Supporting continuous improvement projects to enhance reliability, productivity and efficiency.
- Working alongside production teams, contractors and specialist engineers to deliver engineering solutions.
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping using 5S principles.
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental standards.
- Supporting and mentoring trainee engineers where appropriate.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
