About Associated British Ports (ABP)
ABP is both a major landlord and port operator with 21 port locations in the UK. Our Cardiff and Barry sites support 2,600 nationally and contributes around £180m to the economy annually, playing an important cog in the Future Ports: Wales Vision plan which we’re starting to implement, so we can improve transport links, provide decarbonising energy resources and encouraging port-based manufacturing. Handling over £1Bn of UK Trade annually it offers excellent road and rail links to service Britain's key industrial and commercial regions. The port currently handles high volumes of construction materials including timber, steel & other metals, liquid bulks and bulk energy products.

Role Overview
Due to a retirement we're looking to recruit an experienced industrial biased Electrical Technician to join the engineering maintenance team to assist with maintaining a wide range of Electrically focused equipment primarily at the Port Of Cardiff, but with some time spent in Barry. The role offers someone a great development for someone with electrical experience to learn from our experienced team. You should have prior installation or maintenance experience in the commercial or industrial sectors, and should have an awareness of 3-Phase. You'll need to be comfortable working at height, working near water and in confined spaces.
Key Requirements
- Experience in an electrically focused role within the industrial or commercial sectors.
- Apprentice served and qualified to level 3.
- Hold the 18th Edition certification.
- Full Driving licence.
- High standards of health & safety.
- Ability to work in a team.
Role Details
This is a days based role working Monday to Friday, 0730 - 1600, with a 1500 finish on Fridays with a salary of £37.7k with Overtime available.
