Location: RAF Mildenhall, Suffolk (Site Based)
Salary: Starting from £40,000 (dependent upon qualifications, experience and security clearance)

We are seeking a motivated and technically minded Engineering Technician / Project Coordinator to support United States Air Force infrastructure programmes based at RAF Mildenhall. This role combines engineering support with project coordination, ensuring technical information, programme activities and project documentation are effectively managed throughout the delivery lifecycle.
The Role
G3 Systems is seeking an organised and proactive Engineering Technician / Project Coordinator to support a major United States Air Force programme at RAF Mildenhall.
Working within the Programme Management Office (PMO) and alongside Engineering and Project Management teams, you will play a key role in coordinating project documentation, maintaining technical records and supporting the administration of contract deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
This position combines technical administration with project coordination and will ensure accurate document control, timely reporting and effective communication across multiple engineering and construction activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain engineering document control systems and revision registers.
- Administer Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) deliverables and submission schedules.
- Track project actions, deliverables and key milestones.
- Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, minutes and action trackers.
- Maintain technical logs, engineering records and project filing systems.
- Support configuration management and document version control.
- Coordinate technical reviews and document approvals.
- Monitor project progress and provide status updates to Project Managers.
- Assist with preparation of customer reports and management presentations.
- Coordinate correspondence between engineering teams, subcontractors and Government representatives.
- Support project audits and ensure compliance with contractual documentation requirements.
- Assist with procurement documentation, change requests and engineering administration where required.

About You
You will have experience supporting engineering, construction or infrastructure projects and possess excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills. You will be comfortable working in a collaborative project environment where attention to detail and effective coordination are essential.
Essential
- HNC, HND or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Construction, Project Management or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience supporting engineering, construction or infrastructure projects.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Excellent organisational and coordination skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to demanding deadlines.

Desirable
- Experience within defence, engineering or construction environments.
- Knowledge of project coordination, programme controls or project administration.
- Experience using Microsoft Project, Primavera P6 or similar planning software.
- Familiarity with document control systems and engineering change management.
- Understanding of NEC Engineering and Construction Contracts or Design & Build projects.
- Existing BPSS, Security Check (SC) or higher security clearance, or the ability to obtain the appropriate clearance.

Security Requirements
This position is subject to successful pre-employment screening and will require the successful candidate to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance, which may include BPSS, Security Check (SC) and client-specific security requirements.
